Church

To christen my new blog i felt it was fitting that my first post should be dedicated to South East London's newest and most exciting underground music project. Church kicked off 03.03.11 at St. Giles Church, Camberwell and after only five weeks of entertaining clubbers from all over London, the crew managed to attract a large fan base who have since followed Church to one of the best venues in the country in Corsica Studios. Having cemented a regular weekly club night in London, Church have sprouted a secondary musical branch in Manchester, in my opinion, second only to London in the country for underground music.

The Deaf Institute was where the Manchester party began and it's testament to how far Church has come in such a small amount of time that the launch was at such a prestigious venue. During one of the quietest clubbing periods of the year, Church packed the place out. Meanwhile in London, Church have hosted artists xxxy, My Panda Shall Fly & Monki all of whom are regular headline acts across the country and europe. With Fantasic Mr. Fox, Cookie Monsta yet to play Church, there is plenty of partying and happy punters in the pipeline. Church have also got producers Dark Sky present at the Parklife after-party they are throwing at Joshua Brookes.. which may possibly be the best party they've thrown so far.

Residents and Founders JRT and APES do not intend to take their foot off the pedal and with artists Slumstate and TCTS regularly taking to the decks with the boys, there is plenty of musical talent at every Church event, headliner or no headliner. Watch out for Church in London, Manchester and probably any other city in the country who wish to hear the freshest sounds in the underground bass music scence.
